You made it to Boxing Day - the day of rest. At least it is for me. You may be one of those hop in the cars and go shopping folks, which is fine. I mean, I don't understand you at all, but you do you. The rest of us will sit in our sweatpants on the sofa eating whatever Christmas leftovers are within reach.
The Day After Christmas
Christmas is lovely, a magical feast,
With laughter and presents and roasts fit for beasts.
The tree is aglow, the stockings are stuffed,
By evening, we’re merry—and frankly, quite puffed.
But the day after Christmas? Oh, what a delight,
No cooking, no cleaning, no schedule in sight.
The gifts are unwrapped, the ribbons astray,
We sit in the chaos and call it Boxing Day.
The leftovers beckon, the couch softly pleads,
"Come here with your snacks and abandon your deeds."
No more carols or tinsel, no rush to impress—
Just lounging in sweatpants, the ultimate success.
So here’s to the calm after holiday cheer,
To Boxing Day bliss and a cozy New Year.
Christmas is grand, but let’s quietly say:
The true gift of the season? It’s Boxing Day.

That was really fun!!! I loved how it changed the way I put the puzzle together with the center first! This would be a good challenge if I take more time and make it larger - stretch my brain cells for a new year present.

Forgot to say - great poem! But I still don't understand what happens on Boxing Day. Is it where you exchange gifts and open them? Is it where you pack up all the presents and put them away? Is it where you get to hit all the people who gave really dumb or no presents? Please explain the day to the lowest 48 - Florida. Thanks

It is nice to take a deep breath and just be for a day.

I hope you do puzzles every year; a fun tradition. Happy New Year!

Very true for women, maybe not for men.
